Here's a runway show I took photos of... Model Quest Fashion Show - 5th Anniversary held at UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney, Australia on Saturday 11th August 2007. Features 16 models - eight guys and eight girls. Winners get a free trip to the Philippines where they live the high life of clubbing, being seen on TV and touring some areas.

Here's some photos we took last weekend of a model in various outfits in Sydney. The model was modelling various outfits at Pioneer Studios located in Sydney. We were using the plain cyclorama as the background and a white weather balloon as a prop. Sydney modelling at its best. (Actually Victoria was a German).

Here's some photos we took last weekend in Sydney. She was Modelling various outfits in a Sydney car junk yard. I felt for the model... she was cold all throughout the photoshoot (I think top temperatures in Sydney was only 14 degrees Celsius)... a real trooper. Sydney modelling at its best. (Actually April was a New Zealander).

Headshots usually used by models, actors and actresses to show to their agents, producers and directors. I took these headshots using my portable studio setup.

Out of the hundred or so shots I took of Jazmine modelling in New York, these are the shots which I think turned out the best. As I have said before, she is an aspiring model, and hopefully these photos would make a good addition to her modelling portfolio as they have mine. Here's a Headshot photo someone would typically use for their portfolio. Traditionally, headshot photographs for models and actors are usually in black and white. This headshot is of Jazmine, who is from New York. You can see her lying down here in a black dress and here adjusting her shoes.

Here's Jazmine modeling again. We found a secluded spot in New York's Central Park where I could setup my portable studio for the photoshoot. In this photo, Jazmine is lying down on the concrete ledge with a brick wall behind her.

I bumped into an aspiring model while I was on one of my adventure quests around New York city and I managed to arrange a photoshoot with her. Her name is Jazmine and she's a Brazilian/Ghanaian. The photo itself was taken on a Genuine New York sidewalk close to Union Square - you can barely make out the Empire State building over Jazmine's head. It was a pleasure to meet and collaborate with Jazmine. I will be posting a few more photos from her model photoshoot with me in the coming weeks.

First stop on my European trip was London. Visited the usual tourist sites in London: the British Museum, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Hyde Park. I also went to see a Musical called Porgy and Bess which was based on the Gershwin's opera. Had a cheap lunch at a place called the Laughing Buddha at London's Chinatown, a big dish only cost £3.50. We had just come from the National Gallery and the Portrait gallery and I was inspired to produce the above photo. The portrait photo of Peter above was taken in Chinatown, London with a portable studio setup.

I spent an afternoon practising with my equipment, trying to figure out the best configurations of the lighting. This self-portrait of the photographer (Me!) was taken with a Nikon D200 with the on-camera speedlight acting as the flash commander for two remotely triggered Nikon SB-800 speedlights (utilising the Nikon CLS system). So in combination with the two speedlights acting Strobist style I had a gold reflector acting as fill-in light for the shadows.
